A young boy from a wild Montana upbringing is plopped down in the strange and unfamiliar environment of the late 1960s rural Northwest Arkansas. With a wonder and enthusiasm for all things hunting, he was a scrawny kid devoid of a role model until finding one in an unlikely source, a friend and mentor who took him under his wing and shared the joys of small-game hunting and so much more.
